Context
Considering the importance of having goals in place to decrease the consumption of water in production units & especially focusing on the Beverage industries like Soft drinks, Beers and Wines industries. We have implemented smart technology solutions to manage & monitor the consumption of water in their production units.
Solutions
The solution is designed in a way to provide a timely status on how much water is used, With the sensors placed in place we are able to detect anomalies like spills and leaks and help the production units to make real-time decisions to immediately fix the issues and ensuring the optimal water conservation.
During the implementation of this solution, the following steps were performed:
- Identifying the points in this entire water pipeline where monitoring is required
- Identifying and procuring the relevant sensors needs to be placed for capturing the required data
- Monitoring water consumption remotely and in real-time
- Integration of the sensor outputs to the Data technology stack for analysis purpose
- Data processing and generating the alerts/notifications
- Notifying the support team in near-real time about the leaks and other anomalies/waste detected before they became a crisis that took significant resources to resolve
